Time of Innocence!

As a child who grew up in the 1950s--a baby boomer and of the Leave it to Beaver generation, I recall that I had life experiences which my children and grandchildren will never know. A shame!
One such experience I recall was watching cowboy television shows on a Saturday morning in black and white. Wild Bill Hickok and Jingles, Fury, Chico Kid, The Texas Rangers, and Hopalong Cassidy. You see my family did not really own the television. Instead every Saturday morning my brother Tom and I would walk to my boyhood friend Wally's house--he had the TV. We were there by 0700 AM and rang his doorbell until Wally's father got out of bed and opened the door to let us in for the morning adventure. Of course Wally was then also up to join us. I guess looking back on it my brother and I were the morning alarm clock for Wally's family on Saturday.
